  • Just watched a coworker quit over a 'dirty look'

So this just happened. A girl in my office from the accounting area just stormed out and quit on the spot.
  • Her reason? She said someone else from marketing gave her an aggressive look during her bd celebration (we had just celebrated her bd).
  • a woman looks at her email inbox on a tablet
  • Not a word was exchanged. Just one look, according to her, was the final straw after months of negative energy.
  • She left the office and then sent thousands of furious messages. Has anyone else seen a career end over something that seemed ridiculously small?
  • What's the most dramatic office exit you've witnessed? Honestly, it is a bit sad, but also funny as much as ridiculous

  • lilmsjackalope16 I was working at a family-owned business in customer service & was also assistant to the sales team. One day the VP of sales came in & said "Can you print out a copy of my schedule for the next few weeks? My Mom just fired me & I gotta get out of here." I did so & he left. Apparently in a meeting they were trying to over- talk each other during an argument & Mom finally just fired him. Funny part is he went on to open his own company & made $1,000,000 his first year.
  • Cath6666 I was working on a Sunday to cover for one of my employees. Found out they hadn't been following the schedule the deputy director told me to make for them by another employee because they thought it was stupid. I let her know that they have to follow the schedule, it was the deputy directors orders, and I would be talking to the person who usually works the days I was off. 5 minutes later I get an email from her saying she's putting her 2 weeks in. All because she didn't like taking "or

  • Wakemeup3000 One of my work friends was on a different team so every day I'd walk over to her desk and we'd go on lunch or break together. I got called into HR one day because apparently as I was walking past a random person's desk I made a comment like 'I can't believe that's how the morning started' which was a comment made because I had broken a heel before leaving the house. Random person decided friend and I were gossiping about her. For the next couple weeks random person would pop up no m
  • BeautifulChaos Energy I'm guessing there was a long history of toxic behaviour, look up 'micro aggressions' I suspect that's what might have been going on and no one noticed Or maybe she just wasn't right in the head?
  • StinkieBritches A few years ago we had two sisters working in the office. They were in different departments, but their work was related. Also, one of the sisters had a little brain damage from an accident in her teens and had said that it affected her personality sometimes. These two women would go so hard at each other, like screaming and crying at each other. It got so bad, one finally quit and the other one was gone about six months later.
